Effect of Order: School Hill, Napton on the Hill is closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: To safely enable laying of new gas service to mains.
Order Effective from: 07 January 2023.
Anticipated Completion Date: 08 January 2023.
Access & Diversion: An alternative route will be signed and is available via: School Hill, Hackwell Street, Chapel Lane and vice versa.

Warwickshire County Council has made a Temporary Traffic Order details as indicated below:
Effect of Order: A425 Daventry Road, Southam, Southam Road/Shuckburgh Road, Napton on the Hill & Napton Road, Lower Shuckburgh closed to vehicular traffic between Welsh Road East, Southam and Sawbridge Road, Lower Shuckburgh.
Reason for Order: Carriageway patching and associated works, 09.30 – 15.00hrs.
Order Effective from: 09 January 2023.
Anticipated Completion Date: 13 January 2023.
Access & Diversion: An alternative route will be signed and is available via: A425, A45, B4429 (Daventry Road, Coventry Road), A426 (Southam Road, Rugby Road), A423 Southam Bypass, A425 Daventry Road and vice versa.
Vehicular access & egress will be maintained where possible.
Access/egress for Tomlow Road from Butt Hill will be maintained.

Effect of Order: Thorntons Lane will be closed to vehicular traffic between its junctions with Chapel Green Road / Folly Lane and Napton Holt Road / Marston Doles Road.

Reason for Order: To safely enable carriageway drainage and associated works, 09:30-15:30hrs weeks days only.

Order Effective from: 12 December 2022.

Anticipated Completion Date: 14 December 2022.

Access & Diversion: An alternative route will be signed and is available via: Napton Hold Road, Welsh Road East, A425, Butt Hill, Vicarage Road, Hackwell Street, High Street, New Street and vice versa.

Access/Egress to be maintained where possible to businesses and residents only.

Temporary Road Closure for Napton Remembrance Service

Stratford-on-Avon District Council has made a Temporary Traffic Order details as indicated below:
Effect of Order: The Butts, Chapel Street and School Hill closed to vehicular traffic.
Reason for Order: Napton Remembrance Service, 10:00-12:00hrs.
Order Effective from: 13 November 2022 at 10:00am.
Anticipated Completion Date: 13 November 2022 at 12:00pm.
Access: Any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency (such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area) which requires vehicles to be brought onto the Streets, or to anything done with the permission of or at the direction of a police officer.

A Moment of Reflection on the Eve of the Funeral of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

A National Moment of Reflection is taking place at 8pm on Sunday 18th September with a one-minute silence to mourn the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and reflect on her life and legacy.

Whilst this can, of course, be marked privately, we invite all parishioners to join us on their doorsteps so those who wish to may observe the silence as a community.

A Book of Condolences is located at St. Lawrence Church and is available throughout the mourning period during daylight hours for parishioners to sign.

Flowers can be placed at St. Lawrence Church.

Effect of Order: School Hill closed to vehicular traffic between its junction with The Butts/Chapel Lane and Hackwell Street/Vicarage Lane.
Reason for Order: Carriageway patching and associated works, 08:00-16:00hrs.
Order Effective from: 12 August 2022.
Anticipated Completion Date: 12 August 2022.
Access & Diversion: An alternative route will be signed and is available via: Hackwell Street, High Street, New Street, Howcombe Lane, Poplar Road, The Butts and vice versa.
Vehicular access & egress will be maintained where possible.

Public Path Diversion Order

On 31 May 2022, Stratford-on-Avon District Council confirmed the attached Order, made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 (“the Act”). The works associated with the Order have been certified.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to DIVERT that section of Public Footpath SM51
from Point A, starting at the Old Bakery off High Street Napton-on-the-Hill , running generally in a west south west direction for approximately 36 metres to Point B, at the rear of
Viewlands Cottage, High Street, Napton-on-the-Hill, then running generally in a south
westerly direction for 76 metres to Point C TO A LINE from Point C running generally in a north easterly direction for approximately 70 metres to Point D, then running generally in an east north east direction for approximately 10 metres to Point E, then running generally in a north north east direction for approximately 20 metres to Point F, then running generally in a south easterly direction for approximately 3 metres to Point G, then running generally in a north north east direction for approximately 8 metres to Point H, then running generally in a north easterly direction for approximately 8 metres to Point I situated at the start of the driveway to Viewlands Cottage on the path between High Street and Chapel Lane.
The new route shall have a width of 2 metres subject to a limitation of a pedestrian gate
positioned between Points G and F as shown on the Order Plan.
